Preparation

• Ensure your health conditions. People with heart or any other chronic diseases are not allowed to join this excursion.
• Please ensure that you have no symptoms of Covid-19; fever, cough, flu, sore throat, body/headache & loss of taste/smell
• No close contact with Covid-19 positive patients
• Must bring a personal hand sanitizer, face mask & gloves during activities

Booking terms

• Booking must be made 8 days before trip
• Once payment has been made, the organiser will reach out to you via Whatsapp for ease of communication
• Only kids 12 years old and above are allowed to join

Refund and cancellation

• Partial refund if the trip is cancelled due to natural disaster
• Postponement/cancellation of activity at early stage of caving/before starting on the day of the trip due to bad weather/natural disaster is only entitled to a partial refund if any and at the discretion of RNR Adventures
• Refunds due to cancellations made in less than 5 days prior to trip is at the discretion of RNR Adventures

What to wear

1. Everyone MUST wear a headlamp. Sharing of headlamps is prohibited.
2. Bring personal medicines if needed.
3. Wear rubber/water shoes/sports shoes. Foam sandals like Crocs or equivalent are not advisable.
4. Wear socks to avoid sand from getting in between the toes.
5. Wear flexible & durable pants with tights underneath in case the outer pants get ripped.
6. Wear long pants & long-sleeved shirts to avoid getting scratches from sharp/hard rock & sandy surfaces.
7. Use a small drybag to carry keys/a small water bottle/energy snacks/handphone/camera.
8. Secure car keys & handphones in single or double-layer plastic ziplock bags first before keeping them in the drybag for extra protection.
9. All essentials must be put in a dry bag & the hands should be free from holding anything.

Important things to acknowledge

• This trip is physically and sometimes mentally demanding to some people and requires the participants to be comfortable and confident with being in the dark, moving over uneven and slippery terrain, being in the water and dealing with confined spaces throughout the journey.
• Although no fatal incidents have ever taken place at Gua Batu Maloi, each participant must understand that caving, like any other outdoor adventure activity, involves risk of serious injury or death. Participants should be aware that no guarantee on safety can be offered as there are natural factors beyond human control present in the environment. As operator, we can only take precautionary measures to manage and reduce such risks.
• Participants should follow guide instructions at all times and understand that this is critical to your safety and that of the group.
• By agreeing to go on this excursion participants are willing to take the risks involved in such activities.
